A cellar that drifts warm ruins stock quietly. Wine loses its condition, beer pours badly and perishables spoil early. A proper cellar cooling system holds the temperature steady whatever the weather is doing outside.
No two cellars are alike, so we start with a survey: the size of the space, the insulation, the airflow and what you are storing. The system is designed around that, installed cleanly, and set up to run quietly in the background.
We look after cellars for homes and for the trade, and we maintain what we install so it keeps holding temperature year after year.

Designed for the space, then maintained.
The design comes first: the right capacity for the room, positioned so the cold air circulates rather than pooling. Installation is handled by our own F-Gas qualified engineers with the pipework kept tidy and discreet.
Maintenance matters more for a cellar than almost any other system, because the stock is sitting in the room. We check refrigerant, airflow and controls on a schedule, and we respond quickly if anything drifts.

What we look at in a cellar.
Cellars are the one job where getting the design wrong shows up in the stock rather than in a comfort complaint, so the survey is thorough.
- The volume of the room and the ceiling height
- Insulation on the walls, the floor and the ceiling
- Where heat is getting in, including from above
- How air can circulate around the racking or the kegs
- Where the condenser can sit and still run quietly
- The temperature and humidity you actually need to hold

Questions
Asked before most jobs.
What temperature should a wine cellar be?
Most wine keeps best in the low teens, held steady. The stability matters more than the exact number, which is why a dedicated cellar cooling system beats a domestic unit that cycles on and off.
Can you cool an existing cellar or basement?
Usually, yes. We survey the space first, because insulation and airflow decide how much cooling is needed. Where the room needs work first we will say so before anything is installed.
Do you look after pub and restaurant cellars?
Yes. We design, install and maintain cellar cooling for the trade as well as private cellars, and we plan installation and servicing around your opening hours.
How often should cellar cooling be serviced?
At least once a year, and twice for hard working trade cellars. The stock sits in that room every day, so we keep the maintenance schedule tight and respond quickly between visits if the temperature drifts.
