Installation
Air conditioning installation
From a single bedroom to a whole office, we fit the system the building needs, and we put it where you will notice it least.
Every property is different, so every installation starts with a survey. We come out, look at the rooms, talk through where the units and the pipework could go, and recommend a system that suits the building and your budget. The quote is written, free, and carries no obligation.
At home, that usually means bedrooms, living rooms, loft conversions and garden offices: cooling through the summer and efficient heating through the winter from the same unit. Modern systems also filter and dehumidify the air as they run.
For businesses we install everything from single split units to VRV and VRF systems across whole floors. We plan the work around your hours so the disruption stays small, and our own F-Gas qualified engineers carry out every installation.
What is included
Surveyed, fitted, handed over.
One team handles the whole job: the survey, the design, the installation and the handover. We fit Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric equipment, we keep the pipework routed where the building allows it, and we leave the site tidy every evening.
Every installation is handed over working, with the controls explained, and covered by a comprehensive warranty on our work and on the units, including a 12 month warranty on all workmanship.

Where it goes
The places we are asked for most.
Different rooms overheat for different reasons, which is why the survey matters more than the floor area.
-
01
Bedrooms
The most common request by a long way. Sized properly, a unit runs quietly enough overnight that nobody notices it is on.
-
02
Loft conversions
Sitting directly under the tiles, they gain heat all day and are usually the hottest room in the house by late afternoon.
-
03
Garden rooms
A lot of glass and very little mass, so they swing hot in summer and cold in winter. One unit deals with both ends of the year.
-
04
Open plan kitchens
Big glazed doors, strong solar gain and cooking heat on top. These almost always need more capacity than the floor area suggests.

Questions
Asked before most jobs.
How long does an installation take?
A single room is usually done in a day. A multi room system typically takes two to three days depending on pipe runs and access. We confirm the programme with the quote, and we work around your hours where we can.
Do I need planning permission for air conditioning?
Most domestic installations do not need planning permission, but flats, listed buildings and conservation areas can be different. We advise on this at the survey, and we position outdoor units so they stay discreet and inside the rules.
Will the system heat as well as cool?
Yes. The systems we fit are heat pumps, so the same unit that cools in July heats efficiently in January. Many of our customers run them as their main heating through the winter.
Which brands do you install?
We install Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric equipment, chosen to suit the room and the budget, and every installation is carried out by our own F-Gas qualified engineers with a comprehensive warranty.
In their words
“Their installation actually enhanced the architectural aesthetics of a high design environment.”
